Piercing Aftercare Instructions

ALWAYS wash your hands before cleaning your piercing. Like all fresh wounds, piercings are highly susceptible to infection when not kept clean. Please use
extreme caution when caring for your piercing.

DO NOT unnecessarily touch your healing piercing. This includes shifting, removing, turning or twisting the jewelry, picking at scabbing or squeezing out scar tissue fluids. This disrupts the healing process, tears the tissue, and allows germs to infect the area.

DO NOT use alcohol or peroxide to clean your piercing. This can kill the developing tissue and delay the healing process. Please only use what your piercer recommends.

AVOID pools, hot tubs, lakes, oceans, bathing, and other bodies of water that harbor bacteria.

AVOID wearing anything tight, that rubs or that feels uncomfortable on body piercings.

REMEMBER, the body repairs and heals itself. Keep it clean, keep it protected, and give it plenty of time to heal. The average healing time for most piercings is roughly 8-12 weeks.
